Bob's Personal Statement

As PWLT moves into it’s 41st season, I am excited to announce that I will be running again for President. This past year has been incredible for us - from producing a very successful 40th season (with several WATCH award nominations) to launching our 41st season, starting in July with Hairspray, the Broadway Musical. Our accomplishments this past year include expanding PWLT’s community outreach by joining the Prince William Chamber of Commerce and partnering with other non-profits and businesses, as well as translating our marketing collateral and outreach materials to Spanish. Community events like parades, ArtsAlive! and meeting with local government officials has put PWLT in front of so many more of our neighbors. A new program of Targeted Sponsorships was developed and then approved by the board. This tool helps us reach out to potential sponsors, patrons, and donors, giving them the ability to support the arts by directing their donation to a particular portion of our show - like the orchestra, set design, costumes, etc. and that will benefit all of our shows going forward.
 
I am excited about this upcoming season. I’m looking forward to continuing to expand our outreach in the community and partnering with other theaters to share ideas and resources, while bringing in more new faces and welcoming old friends back to PWLT.  We are a true theater family, and I hope you will consider re-electing me for another term as its president.
