Sharon's Personal Statement
Although new to PWLT, I've grown to appreciate and really love this theater and the people working both on and off the stage. My expertise is really with the Technical and Production elements in bringing a show to the stage. I have an extensive background in Direction and Stage Management, was the Production Manager in two theaters, and really love the process of putting a show together. I also am a huge supporter of Education in the Theater. Being teachers and mentors to the future Directors and Stage Managers, and Designers. So many talented people in Community Theaters that just need some guidance and support and it's up to us, as teachers to help them rise. PWLT has an extensive history that needs to be passed on, but also responsibility to make sure it keeps the mission statement that people like Susy have worked so hard for, for so many years. PWLT is one of those theaters that is doing that, and it's why I would like to participate in moving into the future with this group. Thank you for all you do. It's been an amazing year working with all of you. And it took me four years to find a theater that stands above the rest when it comes to the People. I've been asked to be on Boards before, and have turned them down, mostly due to just wanting to Direct, which is my first love. But thought I would really like to be involved more with PWLT and also thought I could contribute in a positive way.
