Katherine's Personal Statement
Ms. Morris is proud to be a member of PWLT because of the rich, inclusive diversity that is represented in their core values. She has also experienced the acceptance and community care that PWLT consistently offers. Ms. Morris is looking forward to the opportunity to continue to support PWLT’s shared values and the outreach into the community at large. She has a strong desire to be a part of the board of directors because she would like to see the theatre company continue to grow, improve and thrive. Ms. Morris is committed to PWLT’s mission in our community and will work with the other board members to advance our mission as a fiscally responsible theatre organization ensuring a thriving existence for many years and many more generations of performers.

Katherine's Bio
Ms. Morris is a Senior Claims Analyst at Allstate insurance where she has worked for the last four years. During her tenure she has had the opportunity to complete the Advanced Development Program that is designed to fast track individuals into leadership roles. She has also designed and created training programs to assist her teammates in better utilizing their skills and increasing their accuracy in estimating. She is currently the committee lead for the Advocates for Recognition and Morale Committee, which has been nicknamed the ARM. This committee is actively involved in assisting the organization in presenting organizational changes and taking the feedback to corporate home office for real time improvements in the new systems that are placed. They are also responsible for identifying opportunities to improve overall morale for the employees in DC, Maryland, VA and Delaware service area. During her time with Allstate she has successfully negotiated more than one thousand auto damage settlements with a customer experience rating of 100 % for year to date 2020. Her leadership team frequently leans on her expertise to solve complex problems and resolve Department of Insurance complaints on behalf of the company.
Ms. Morris has actively been involved both on the stage as a performer and behind the scenes as the stage manager in several PWLT productions, beginning in 2004. She is always willing to lend a hand with set building and painting in these productions as well. Most recently, you may have seen her perform as Mrs. Pugh and Francis Perkins in Annie (July 2019), Ensemble for 9-5 the musical (October 2018) and Charity lady & ensemble in A Christmas Chaos (October 2017). She was also the stage manager for A Charlie Brown Christmas (December 2019).
