That kind of dedication makes Emily our Volunteer of the Month. PWLT sat down with Emily to get a little more background.
How did you start in doing hair for PWLT?
My twin sister, Savannah, had been involved with PWLT. I always loved doing hair and she convinced me to help out with the production of Oliver!
Outside of PWLT, what other experience with theatre do you have?
I had some previous experience doing hair for high school theatre.
What hair design are you most proud of?
All of the ladies hair in Miss Bennet: Christmas at Pemberley!
How do you approach hair design?
I research the specific time period and then from there I create a Pinterest board for each character.
What show would you like to do that you have never done?
I really like historical pieces and I think Little Women would be fun to work on.
Outside of theatre, how do you spend your time?
I’m either running, playing with dogs, or taking care of horses!
