David Ritchey - Candidate for Treasurer

David's Personal Statement
Picture
I have served as Treasurer for PWLT for the past two years. In that position I have done the following:
--Entered all of PWLT's financial transactions during the period into Quickbooks, enabling a wide variety of financial reports and rapid transfer of financial records to PWLT's accounting firm for tax records;
--Obtained Virginia state authorization for exemption from state sales tax as a 501-c-3 nonprofit organization;
--Provided monthly reports to the Board showing income/expense year to date and by the month, and also providing spreadsheets showing income/expense for each PWLT production over time;
--Completed applications for grants from Prince William County and City of Manassas for income of approximately $13,000 each year;
--Followed up on relevant corporation and tax filings (yearly Form 990 to IRS and corporation forms to the state) and made sure that PWLT's listings in Guidestar and other relevant websites are up to date showing us as a 501-c-3 tax-exempt organization,
I intend to continue this work if reelected.
