Emily's Personal Statement

This theatre has become a safe and beautifully space for me and my son. I appreciate the friendships and kindly, driven artistry of the members.

Everything is pulling for our time and attention. And there seem to be fewer places where people from different backgrounds authentically gather. I don’t think I have to tell this group that being family-friendly and open matters tremendously —as you were already that long before I found you all. I’d like to make it easier for others to find a creative home with us.

In that spirit, my biggest goal is to make it easier for people to become involved. I’d like to create shorter/smaller but clear commitments. I have ideas on how to add to the structure of the play committee and creative submissions. I also want to help support production and bring more whimsy in a time where I know I personally need and want more of it
